  • ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Maintain between 50° and 75° Fahrenheit

    • Keep relative humidity between 40% and 65%

    • Avoid extreme fluctuations in temperature and humidity

    • Do not place items near direct heat sources or in direct sunlight

    • Avoid contact with moisture

    GENERAL CARE

    • Dust gently with a soft cotton cloth

    • Always use coasters under both hot and cold drinks

    • Use felt backing on lamps, ashtrays, and accessories to prevent scratches

    • Use placemats under plates and hot pads under serving dishes

    • Keep plants in drip-proof pots and ensure leaves don’t touch the surface

    • Always lift items—do not drag or slide them across surfaces

    • Avoid placing rubber or synthetic materials directly on the surface

    • Do not leave newspapers or magazines on the surface; ink may transfer

    • Blot spills immediately using a soft, dry cloth—never wipe

    LACQUERED LINEN

Lacquered linen is one of our most durable finishes. Clean using Windex and a soft, clean cloth or paper towel.

    SHAGREEN & PARCHMENT

Shagreen and parchment are natural leathers that evolve over time. Variations in surface appearance are expected and part of their character.

    • Keep away from liquid and oils

    • Avoid drying out the material

    • Do not place near heat sources (including laptops or air vents)

    • Protect from direct sunlight and harsh lighting

Exposure to heat or dryness may cause these materials to contract, lift, or harden over time

    Stainless Steel:
Stainless steel furniture requires only occasional cleaning to keep it looking fresh and bright.

Use 91% alcohol with a soft clean cotton cloth or Bounty paper towel to remove spots and fingerprints.

Do not use abrasives or scouring powder to clean stainless steel furniture.

Please note that salt water and salty sea air may act as abrasives. Care must be taken in seaside climates.

    Bronze:
Periodically wipe the piece with a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and preserve the luster.

Though the durability of bronze makes it suitable for outdoor use, as well as around fireplaces, bronze items should never be placed directly into a hot fire.

    BRONZE POLISH MAINTENANCE:

To restore bronze to its original brilliance, use a good quality metal polish. We recommend Simichrome, available at your local hardware store, applied with a clean soft cotton cloth. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, using rubber gloves in a well- ventilated area. Wipe off any residual polish with Windex and a Bounty paper towel.

    BRONZE PATINA MAINTENANCE:

If the patina has noticeably changed over time, use a mild soap (such as Dawn) and warm water on a soft cloth. Never use a solvent or cleaning chemical on the bronze. Corrosive chemicals (such as those used to clean silver and other metals) could damage or strip away the patina. After wiping the sculpture clean, allow it to dry completely before handling. Rubbing too much will remove the patina completely.
