DAUPHIN ANDIRONS

DAUPHIN ANDIRONS
The Dauphin Andirons reimagine classical heraldry with sculptural finesse, transforming the hearth into a stage for myth and elegance. Each form is inspired by the dolphin motifs found in royal French iconography—serpentine yet stately, playful yet commanding. Meticulously cast in bronze, the Dauphins are available in polished, satin, or iridium finishes, highlighting the finely rendered scales and expressive maritime faces. Whether in a warm, golden luster or a sleek silvery patina, they are both a conversation piece and a functional hearth element—bespoke and bold.

Bronze:
Periodically wipe the piece with a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and preserve the luster.
Though the durability of bronze makes it suitable for outdoor use, as well as around fireplaces, bronze items should never be placed directly into a hot fire.
BRONZE POLISH MAINTENANCE:
To restore bronze to its original brilliance, use a good quality metal polish. We recommend Simichrome, available at your local hardware store, applied with a clean soft cotton cloth. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, using rubber gloves in a well- ventilated area. Wipe off any residual polish with Windex and a Bounty paper towel.
BRONZE PATINA MAINTENANCE:
If the patina has noticeably changed over time, use a mild soap (such as Dawn) and warm water on a soft cloth. Never use a solvent or cleaning chemical on the bronze. Corrosive chemicals (such as those used to clean silver and other metals) could damage or strip away the patina. After wiping the sculpture clean, allow it to dry completely before handling. Rubbing too much will remove the patina completely.
